Brown eyes are a weapon of mass destruction that gives a much greater effect on men than pheromone perfume. Alena S, creative director of “Shamoni” beauty salon, also a winner of X championship in hairdressing art and decorative cosmetics told The Posh Miss where lies the edge between well made makeup accents and attempts to apply every single piece of makeup that a woman can find in her purse.

Step one.
Start with corrector, which will allow hiding behind the eight-hour working day and continuous lack of sleep. A good corrector is distinguished for its light texture and for pleasant feelings on the skin. Apply just a small amount of it to avoid mask effect.

Alena says: «One of the best correctors that I found was by Yves Saint Laurent. Be careful when applying it – if you will apply to much of it, it will concentrate in mimic wrinkles, which is not acceptable even for the most expressible eyes.»

Step two.

Step three

Carefully apply makeup pencil on the eyelash line on the upper eyelid, drawing a tiny up-looking arrow somewhere on the second third of the eyes, closer to the outer corner. This simple trick will make your look more open. Spread the line and then apply shadows on top of it – you will get a smoky look, also known as “smoky eyes” that is so loved by girls and women. Then underline outer corner from bottom, but not too close to the eye ball to avoid the look of slim eyes and give them more volume instead.

“When picking a makeup pencil, pay close attention to its texture. It has to be soft, but not too soft to avoid cumbersome balls on your face. For pencils I strongly recommend Lancôme – they make very long pencils, which are easily spread and have deep beautiful black color. ” – Alena adds.

Step four.
Now let’s take care of the eyelids. It is very important to express the outer corner of the eye, because make up without such accent looks dull. With shadows, parallel to the trail of the brow, draw a triangle, and then color it from dark to light. Apply light shadows on the inner corner – eyes start to glow from inside. If choosing between color palettes, for brown eyes we recommend various tones of brown, blue, violet and bordeaux. With such colors you will get universal eyes that are hard to spoil.

Alena speaks again: «When picking colors I follow the principle of opposition. Classical solution for brown eyes is to pick brown shadows, but it’s much more interesting to play and experiment with contrasts – for example indigo color in combination with mild pink color or yoghurt color. Try to make smooth the transition between colors, the breaking line should be somewhere in the middle of the eye.»

Step five.
The final step is well colored furry and dense eyelashes. It is not a secret that a good mascara can do magic, and to get more of that magic apply mascara with the swing outside, opposite to the direction to the nose.
